Recently Google Korea firstly acquired TNC, the famous blog service developing company that has made Textcube (a.k.a Tattertools) similar with Wordpress case. It became buzz in a flash by many famous blogs such as Techcrunch, GigaOM, NY Times, VentureBeat, InformationWeek, The Inquisitr, Epicenter, p2pnet,  Portfolio, WebProNews, AppScout, Webware.com, Valleywag and Pulse 2.0. They have developed Tattertools as an open source software under GPL and developed and sold Tistory.com to Daum - now Tistory became one of top 20 properties in Korea. Google copied Naver

Some of Korean bloggers reported screenshots of search result bucket test Google Korea. Especially it is very similiar with search results of local competitors such as Naver and Daum. It was more interesting because Google was changed new front-page layout for Korean different with other languages. Recently Google unveiled new search results user interface called Universal Search that unify and blend search results across their collection such as web search, news, blogs, images and videos, etc. It means Google divided details properties from mass index of web pages and it will be important to show proper collections by query. Eric Schmidt’s Web 3.0

Eric Schmidt CEO of Google gave a special speech in Seoul Digital Forum. Check out my brief coverage. After speech, one of attendance asked to him what he think about Web 3.0. He said web 2.0 is marketing term, but he indicated there is new trends in view of web applications. His view of web applications are very simple, easy, everywhere virus groups to treat all of data. Daum DevNight vs. Google DevDay

As most of subscribers of this blog know my job in company, I'm web technical evangelist to offer Web APIs and support 3rd party developers and affiliates such as Yahoo! Developers Network and Google Code. I organized Daum Developers Night to hack APIs and make prototype using them such as widgets, plug-ins and mashups. There was a similar event, Open Hack Day. Accidentally the day is same with Google Developers Day in 10 cities of the world on May 31th. 2007.
