Wireless Broadband Internet: Wibro and HSDPA

KT, the country's largest fixed-line operator, and SK Telecom, the largest mobile phone service provider, both began commercial services of KT WiBro and 3G+ HSDPA, a homegrown portable Internet service. WiBro, short for wireless broadband, enables users to access the Internet at the speed of fixed-line connections through portable devices such as laptops or personal digital assistants. The mobile reception is reportedly seamless even when moving at speeds up to 100 kilometers (62 miles) per hour.
But, WiBro will only be available for laptops and PDA. Those who wish to try the service can buy a card at KT or SK ...

T-DMB are growing.

After startup of T-DMB and S-DMB in Korea, the total number of devices that has TDMB mobile tv feature has surpassed one million in Korea. TDMB mobile tv officially launched as the end of last year so it took approximately 6 months to sell one million devices. The number of mobile phones sold with TDMB so far was 324,092 and number of PMPs and TDMB USB devices for laptops sold was 681,816. The DMB optimized portable TV such as mobile phone and PDA or notebook not to use internet but do signal of satellites or broadcaster on earth.
