Bulletproof Web Design in Korean

The second CSS book by Dan Cederholm, showing web designers how to inject flexibility into their designs was translated into korean. The Bulletproof Web Design contains several guidelines to help prepare compelling designs for worst-case scenarios, increasing user control and readability for varying text sizes and amounts of content. Mr. Suman Park did it after first Dan's book. You can buy this book in korean online book store.

Web Standard Solutions in Korean

Dan Cederhomn's first web standard book, Web Standard Solutions (Friends of ED, 2004) was translated into korean by Mr. Suman Park. The korean edition of this book contains questions and answers on markup and style topics for Web Standards. It will explore the multiple ways you can handle a situation when building with Web Standards — and the advantages and disadvantages of those methods. Additionally, each chapter goes a step further, with “extra credit” sections to give the reader extra tips and tricks based on the topic. First CSS Layout Seminar in Korea

I'm happy to introduce first korean css layout seminar with korea.internet.com in July 5th, 2005. The name of workshop is Web Design Strategy using CSS Layout. Over 250 people attended this workshop. Korea government guided to web standard.

Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs of Korea guided for all government web sites to support Mozilla Firefox and to follow web standard from this year. MGAHA has the guideline for governmental web site with the policy of construction, maintenance and interoperablity with each organization. This guideline forced to support Internet Explorer 5.0, Netscape 7.0, Mozilla Firefox 1.0 and Sapari 1.0 in major platfomr of windows, linux and macintosh and make to follow HTML4.01, XHTML1.0, CSS2 of W3C and ECMA Script. W3C Trend and Korea

It was held W3c Korea Workshop in ETRI Daejeon, Korea in June 26, 2005. This workshop was focused on web standard and it's application. Channy Yun from Daum Communication R&D Center has given a presentation on W3C trend and Korea. He described the current situation of Korean web and emphasized the importance of complying with the web standards. Korea has confronted with rapid development of internet industrialization which caused application development based on the web without referring W3C specifications.
