Web 2.0 Korea 2007

Posted by Channy Yun

The 2nd. Web2.0 Korea Conference was held on Mar. 28th in Seoul following last year event. This conference was hosted by BizDeli, a expert IT conference company, so it had very traditional conference style, a lecture, a lecture and so on. So some participators blamed it’s conference 1.0 style to talk Web 2.0.

Also all speakers continually repeated of the definition of Web 2.0 and related examples. Many attendee wanted to hear Web 2.0 business models to mix user data and search and success stories of start-up services based on Web2.0 concepts.

Anyway it seems to be helpful to understand thoughts of opinion leaders in Internet industry in Korea especially start-up companies. There is some speakers in start-up such as OpenBay, CreamAid, Me2day and Wzd.com.

Hi Channy
My name is Roy from Taiwan.
I read your blog and found that your are working on web 2.0 stuff.
I’m currently working on a little project exploring governments’ policy to facilitate (or incubate) web 2.0 style start-ups.
It would be interested if I can include some Korean experiences.
I did some google search but didn’t find much info on this.
Just wondering if you can provide (or direct me to the sources) some informaiton on this?
Many thanks in advance
Roy
