Why not Web 2.0 in Korea?
by Channy Yun on Mar.07, 2008, under Web2.0
I was at Future of Web Apps Conference in the last week, Miami Beach. It gave the chance to hear various technical workshops and latest web application technologies and examples from famous startups such as Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Pownce and WorePress. It was very good time for me.

Also I attended BarCamp Miami and presented “Why not Web 2.0 in Korea?” that explains no boom-up status of Web 2.0 in Korea and why you check out Korea continually.

Some people already knows Naver and Cyworld, but there is no famous successful startups although Korea has the highest broadband network and most wired people. You can see my presentation in slideshare.net too.

Very interesting presentation, Channy! I already knew about some of this, but it gave me some extra facts I didn’t realise and some new things to think about.

Good info on the site Channy.
Just as a heads up, it’s Wordpress…not WorePress. If you ever want help with proofreading, just let me know. It’s a great blog regardless…
Cheers.

Great Blog, honey. I wish my blog would be that interesting. I think I will go to a Web Confereco to have the chance to hear various technical workshops and latest web application technologies and examples from famous startups such as Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Pownce and WorePress. I also want a good time with that, to make my blog better, and to communicate better with my mates in this things. Very thanks for that starting fanal for me. I will go know and sty on these roads! I want it now and I want it as good as you. So I take you to be my idol, so it will be great. Thanks a lot, buddy!

Hey. I was at Barcamp Miami this year but I guess we did not meet. I am interested in this because I sometimes go to Korea and China and I will be moving to Daejeon in a few months.
It would be great to meet up in Seoul and to learn about Korean tech events when I am there.
Thanks,
Mark
